Pathways to publishing:

A primer for authors

- A weekend workshop, with lorraine ash

Your book manuscript is finished and professionally edited. Now it’s time to understand the five publishing pathways—Big 4, Traditional, Small/Indie, Hybrid, and Self. This weekend you’ll get a rare inside look at how each works and meet some special guests, including publishing pros and published memoirists on a variety of paths. In the end you’ll know which pathway matches your goals.

Small breakout segments will address:

  • What is a best seller anyway?

  • The three definitions of “hybrid” in publishing

  • Publicity dos and don’ts

  • Self-publishing possibilities

An updated version of this full workshop is presented once a year.

Schedule: Enjoy this workshop on Zoom. It will take place over 2 days, in 4 online Zoom sessions. One registration covers all sessions. All sessions will use the same Zoom link and meeting ID.

Fee: $150 for the whole weekend
